A Bit Cooler On The Costa Blanca

Another early one was planned for today to avoid the heat of the day, as it turned out, at 07:30 this morning, it was a bit overcast with a slight breeze making for great biking conditions.

Getting up early is a bit of a chore on a Sunday especially if you do the same during the week for work but it is well worth it at this time of year.  We met at the coach garage near Murla, as we have for the last few outings but headed towards Parcent this time before going up and over Coll de Rates.  This stretch of road is a great mix of tight hairpins and short straights with great views along the way down into the Jalon valley below.

Sunday 12th July 2015 was set to be another hot one.  Great for the throngs of holiday makers on the Costa Blanca's beaches, not so good for all the bikers itching to get out and enjoy the roads.  The only plan that works on days like these is a ride into the mountains and hope for a bit of a breeze to soften the harshness of the sun and an early start of course.
