Motorcycling route around the Costa Blanca North

Starting off from home early to meet members of our Facebook group the weather looked good but was quite cold again, its been changeable this year.  Three of us met at Restaurante Tormos in the small village of Tormos inland of Denia, Costa Blanca.

We waited for a while with coffees to see if anyone else would turn up.  Eventually setting off towards Pego before turning left just before the village to take the Val d'Ebo road.  This road popular with cyclists in the spring before it gets too hot climbs up and over the mountains, it is narrow in places with some hairpin bends to catch you out, you are however rewarded with superb views of the coast and inland the valleys.

After Vall d'Ebo the road widens and becomes more flowing, still with hairpins though to catch out the unwary.  The final stretch down to Planes is busier with a few bikers out enjoying the sunshine and cold.

After filling up on Bacon bocadillos and coffee we set off along the CV-711 over the reservoir following my route from a couple of weeks ago.

The CV-81 past Pozas Pou Clar is one of my favourite stretches in the area, it's very popular with bikers and tourists alike.  The surface has just been redone but its busy unless you are there early, watch for the speed camera at the Ontinyent end.

We later passed back through Planes and headed towards Pego stopping at Bar Placeta in
